Okay, so I want to play my sims game, but whenever I try to play it a little message comes up that says:
The Sims 2 requires at least 1 MB of free disk space.
Free up some space on your local disk and then re-launch The Sims 2.
I know what I have to do (Free up some space, uninstall some stuff, right?) but how do I do that? How can I see what's installed on my local disk? Help please?

Every time I try to load Portal from the orange box (I got it directly from the disk, and not off Steam) It crashes with a "hl2.exe has encountered an error and needs to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience." and the usual error report thing. This occurs whenever i start up a new game. it runs perfectly up until the first portal opens in the chamber, then it lags worse than anything imaginable and crashes.

I have an IBook and I'm trying to connect to a wireless connection. It shows that it is connected, and the signal is strong, but I can't pull up any webpages. When I look up the airport connection it says that it is connected, but that airport has a self-assigned IP adddress and may not be able to connect to the internet. Any ideas? Is there any way when you go to type in the address bar to keep from bookmarks trying to "suggest" where you want to go. I find the predictive thing very annoying. It's only great with texting on my cellphone.

I'm not sure how to overclock but would like to learn so bare with me when i ask how to OC this system to about 3.2 Ghz stable?

While stupid Macs refuse my MP3 player JUST because it isn't an ipod!

I have an old computer game (from Windows 98 days), it is designed to run in full screen mode. I would like to try and run the game in a Windowed mode though, to make it easier for me to bounce back and fourth between it and other screens... I've gone to properties for the .exe file, but I don't see an option for what mode to run it in. Does anyone know a way (shortcut key or something) to make Full screen programs switch to windowed mode?

Are there any good websites that could teach me how to type correctly? How bad is my typing? (I never had typing classes when doing computer). I type using only one hand in the last 5 years and in fact only the right middle finger and when I need to capitalize I use my left hand index- I am right handed by the way). I do type extremely fast, though, and I rarely do spelling / typing mistakes. I use the computer every day cause I am a full time PhD student and I write my thesis. I am going to work at an office soon and I am a bit concerned that my colleagues will pull my leg. Is it too late to change the way I type? I only started using the computer 5 years ago. Is there hope I can change the way I type and how can I do that? Anybody else who has their own unique way of typing? Is thee right and wrong after all? And if my way of typing is wrong, how bad is that?

Okay so its 4am.
I have an assignment due tomorow that ive been working on all night. I had started it and gmailed it to myself to complete on a different computer. When i opened the gmail attachment i clicked download then 'open' instead of save. While working on the word document throughout the night i kept pressing save thinking it was saving to something but then i closed the window and tried to reopen it but the file isnt saved anywhere.
